Adobe Bridge CS5 is a program published by Adobe Systems, Inc. to organize different parts of the Adobe Creative Suite. It looks and works like a file browser similar to the ones found in Adobe Photoshop. This program provides users with a way to browse, organize, and locate various assets. This version features a Mini Bridge panel, which is integrated to some of the applications included in the Creative Suite 5 such as Adobe InCopy, InDesign, and Photoshop. This mini panel communicates with the Adobe Bridge CS5 to synchronize and update files. It can also be used to create thumbnails.
The CS5 version of Adobe Bridge is capable of exporting photos to JPEG format as well. There is also a new Path Bar feature, which provides users with several ways to navigate. For instance, users can drag an item straight to the path bar. This version also added a new feature for renaming multiple files simultaneously. The Batch Rename feature provides users with a way to replace either a part or all of the character strings in a filename. Users may even set presets for the frequently used naming formats. Adobe Bridge CS5 features improved PDF contact sheets and web galleries as well. It provides new templates from Airtight Interactive and adds more options used to customize the web galleries’ appearance. This version also offers a way to view InDesign files straight from the program’s interface. It also offers full-screen audio/video previews.
