Emsisoft Anti-Malware is a security application that identifies and removes threats that are present in the computer. It is capable or recognizing backdoor programs, spyware, adware, bots, keyloggers, worms, and other unwanted programs. The application makes use of two scanners for removing threats. It has three protection layers, too – surf protection, file guard, and behavior blocker.

Surf protection ensures that computers are protected from threats that may enter the system from malicious websites. It has a built-in list of dangerous websites, and the list is updated hourly. File guard monitors and checks all the files that are downloaded on the computer. Downloaded files are tested against millions of signatures of threats. This ensures that all applications downloaded in the computer are safe to run. The behavior blocker monitors behavior or programs running in the system.

The application’s interface is easy to use, even for beginners. Users can choose what type of scanning to perform (quick, smart, deep, and custom). The security status tab shows a summary of the computer’s status. This includes updates made and the protection status (on or off). All detected threats are listed under the quarantine tab. Users can delete the items from the list to ensure computer security.
