Zooloretto is a game for PC and the Nintendo Wii that is adapted from the board game of the same name. In this game, players assume the role of a zoo owner who must collect animals and care for them in order to entice visitors to come to their zoo. Having full animal enclosures gains more points; however, players must be careful not to overpopulate their zoo without the proper facilities for animal housing and care. Doing so would make players lose points. Players can also earn points by vending stalls to other players. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
In Zooloretto’s single-player campaign mode, players must rescue zoo animals from their abusive owners. The animals are being kept in poor living conditions with little food. To save the animals, players must go against 36 other zookeepers and beat them in the game. Players must plan their zoos carefully and manage these well. Players get to work on the zoo layout, including the animals’ habitats, shops, restaurants, and other facilities. Players may also get to win different animals from around the world, such as monkeys, pandas, and lions. In the multiplayer mode, players will go against each other. This mode is available for up to five players on the Nintendo Wii, and four players on desktops.
