Wakfu

Wakfu is a fantasy MMORPG video game developed and published by Ankama Games. It was first released on February 29, 2012. The game’s story revolves around the time of Dofus, where an ogre called Ogrest made a grand gesture to impress a girl by getting all six Dofux eggs. Unfortunately, the girl was only interested in the eggs. When Ogrest found out, he killed her then climbed on top of the Mount Zinit and cried for a thousand years. Ogrest emotional breakdown caused disasters in the earth, which lead inhabitants to decide to defeat Ogrest.

In this game, the player chooses a hero character from 14 classes. The first goal of the player it to rebuild the world destroyed by the crying of Ogrest. There are different ways to do this. Players can choose to manage the political system, ecosystem, or the game economy. The hero character can be developed by having a profession. This allows players to gather resources from flora and fauna. A player’s character can also be developed by taking a position in the political office. Players also must fight against other players and NPCs (Non-Playable Characters). The game’s combat system is a tactical turn-based system. The world’s ecosystem also plays a major role in the game. Players have the power to decide whether to destroy or protect certain ecosystem species with the ultimate goal of balancing the world’s ecosystem.
