VideoWave 8 is a video editing program developed by Roxio and released on July 2006. The program enables users to create video productions even without professional knowledge in video editing. The program features video customization options including video transitions and effects. It provides import support for camcorders and other storage devices. Input and output file formats supported include DVD, DV, VOB, IFO and MPG.

VideoWave 8 features a grey and blue user interface. The Media Import window provides three button choices at the top left corresponding to Photo, Video, and Audio. Video capture is possible through supported graphic cards and TV tuner. Users can specify the video and audio quality, as well as output file path after the capture process. Video brightness, saturation, and contrast can already be controlled from this window. Recently imported media files are displayed on the right side bar. The main project window displays  the Add Content box on the top left, the Preview window at top center, and the Settings and Effect Selector window on the top right. The Preview window displays the usual playback buttons at the bottom together with the volume selector and scan tool. The Production Editor timeline spans the bottom of the interface. Users can choose to display the timeline in Storyline view or Timeline view. The Tool box provides access to different video editing tools like the Media Selector, Effect Selector, Show Settings, and Capture/Import tool
