VideoSplitter or Video Cutter is an application that enables users to split, trim, or cut a large video file into several short videos. The program supports different video file formats including AVI, ASF, WMV, MKV, FLV, and MP4. The program does not re-encode the videos, making the process of cutting videos quick and easy. Also, the quality of the video remains the same. The program also comes with a video player so users can easily preview the file before setting the options for cutting, trimming, or splitting.
VideoSplitter’s main interface is easy simple and easy to use. All of the buttons for tasks are located on the main window and users just need to provide the information to start the process. The left side of the main window shows the video player, while the right side of the window is where users can input data. To start a new project, users can open a video file by clicking on ‘Open’ and choosing the video file from the computer’s hard drive. Other information that must be provided includes the resulting number of clips, and the start time and end time for the clips. To start splitting the video, click on the scissor icon. The main window also shows the frame size and the frame rate for the video.
