Undelete 360 is an application that is capable of retrieving files that are deleted from the system due to viruses, accidental deletion, or unexpected system shutdown. It also supports recovery for storage devices, such as external hard drives, thumb drives, memory cards, and firewire drives. The program has a filtering system that enables users to search specific locations instead of going through the entire disk drive. Undelete 360 is able to recover different types of files like documents, image files, videos, and audio.
The program’s interface is simple. There are command buttons located at the upper part of the window (Search, Recover, Stop, Filter, Language, About, and Exit). The left pane on the main window displays a tree view of the files and folders in the system. The main part of the window displays a list of files including the filename, the path, status, size, and the date of creation. Files can also be viewed according to category (Deleted Files, File Preview, File Properties, etc). Users can type in a search term on the search field and all the associated files will be displayed under the Deleted Files tab. Users can put a check mark beside the items that must be retrieved.
Undelete 360 provides recovery options. Some of them include keeping the folder structure, using smart recovery, retaining the files original date and time, and recovering alternate data streams.
