This makes it an ideal program to use for beginners as it has limited features and basic functions. With the program, users can search for online content, watch or listen to the files, and share them with other Tribler users.

The program has a simple user-interface where users can input search terms. Users can browse through other Tribler users’ contents and also access video hosting websites, such as Liveleak and YouTube. Browsing is easier with the provided categories. Users can search videos, images, audio files, and other types of files. Additionally, users can go through the popular category to see which files are popular in the Tribler community. The application has a built-in video player so users can immediately watch content without having to open a media player. Tribler is also a social networking program. Users can befriend o ther Triber users and share content.

Aside from these, the program is also able to recommend content to the users. The recommendations are based on the user’s previous searches and downloaded files. The recommendations start after the user has downloaded at least a dozen files.
