Trend Micro Internet Security or PC-cillin Internet Security is an antivirus suite that consists of antivirus tools, web threat protection, firewall, and parental controls. The program is capable of detecting and removing spyware, viruses, Trojans and other types of threats. Trend Micro Internet Security performs a full system scan of the computer and detects the threats that are present in the system. The results contain a list of the threats found in the system and double-clicking the name will provide information on the item. Users can then delete the threats or choose to quarantine them.

Aside from detecting and removing threats, Trend Micro Internet Security also protects the computer while users are connected to the Internet. The program scans all incoming e-mails and attachments to make sure that there are no viruses attached. It also monitors the websites that user visits and alerts the user if a website has invalid authentication or if it not safe to access. One of the features of the security program is Parental Controls. With this tool, parents can block websites that are unsafe for children to access. Internet access of children can also be limited.
