TOSHIBA (Bundled)

TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility is a small utility application that enables users to manage and configure the sleep and USB charging feature of their TOSHIBA computer. TOSHIBA Sleep and Charge is an add-on feature found in some TOSHIBA laptops and notebooks. This allows users to charge various devices such as mobile phones, music players, tablets, and handheld game consoles using a USB port connection eliminating the need to bring an AC charger for the devices. TOSHIBA Sleep and Charge can charge these devices even when the laptop or notebook is in sleep, standby, hibernation, or even in shutdown state.

TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility appears as a simple command box that contains configuration options with a description. Users can activate the command by ticking or unticking the checkbox. In addition, TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility console displays the remaining battery capacity of the user’s laptop or notebook. The battery capacity is shown as the green area in the display bar along with the charge percentage. Users may choose to turn TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility on or off, or to set it in manual or automatic mode. Users can also set a lower battery limit for TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility. This feature allows the user to conserve the laptop or notebook’s battery by setting the battery percentage where external devices can be charged. For example, a user sets the lower battery limit to 30%; the user may still charge external devices using the USB port as long as the battery amount is above 30%. once the laptop’s battery life reaches 30%, it would cease charging to conserve the remaining battery.

TOSHIBA USB Sleep and Charge Utility is small, lightweight and readily available for download on the Internet. This application can be accessed in the desktop’s system tray.
