Tipard HD Video Converter is an application used for encoding videos into various formats which include ASF, 3GP, AVI, MP4, MOV, MTS, MPG, H.264/AVC, MPEG4, WMV, and HD TS. The program also has audio extraction and conversion functions.
The program’s interface is intuitive and streamlined. A Help file equipped with snapshots is also made available. Import of media files can be done via the tree view, program’s file browser, or drag and drop facility. Processing multiple videos all at one time is allowed. The file type and target directory have to be designated before an encoding task. Queue list information includes file output profile, file name, and file’s trimmed or original length. Progress bars are shown during conversion, and they display the current file’s converted length, as well as the remaining and elapsed time. Video and audio parameters that can be customized are sample frequency and bit rates, channel mode, resolution, and encoder. New profiles can be saved, and default settings can be restored at any time. Users can configure the output directory to open, and for the program to turn off a computer automatically when encoding is completed. Other user customizations include selecting subtitle languages and audio tracks, enabling image adjustments, adding watermarks, taking snapshots from videos, trimming videos by designating end and start values or positions, and previewing clips via the integrated media player, among others.
