A wide array of program management tools is readily available via the Microsoft Sysinternals suite. There are a number of programs that can be downloaded as standalone applications while there are tool subsets that can also be chosen like PsTools. The latter is comprised of a series of troubleshooting tools that include Sysinternals PsLogList.
When it comes to the Sysinternals PsLogList program, it is basically a tool that allows users to dump or transfer certain events log details into a computer network of choice, local or remote. In order to boost the functional efficiency of a particular program, there are times when its internal memory capacity has to be increased. One way of achieving this is by transferring necessary data to a different storage element. This is what log dumping is about. Users can take data from a program’s log and store them temporarily in a separate application.
Sysinternals PsLogList does not only offer log dumping services. It also provides its users with the ability to surpass higher levels of computer security especially when they are accessing programs from a remote system. This means that they simply have to use a registered series of credentials to gain access to logs in a local computer system.
