Super Columbine Massacre RPG!

Danny Ledonne (Freeware)

Super Columbine Massacre RPG! is an RPG that reenacts the events of the Columbine High School shooting in Colorado, which happened in April 20, 1999 in the United States. The story is told from the perspective of the two teenage shooters, namely Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. The shooters went to the school and killed 13 persons just before shooting themselves in the school’s library. The objective of players in the game is to know and understand why the shooters did it. The game gives players insights into the two characters’ psyche, and making players reflect on the elements that may have affected why the characters did what they did.

The game starts at the beginning of the day of the shooting. It is mostly played in a third-person point of view. Players control the characters from an overhead view. The game’s graphics are similar to a 16-bit video game; the violent parts are not rendered graphically. During battle scenes, the perspective changes to a first-person view of the other “enemy” characters, labeled by their stereotype or the position they hold in the school. Players can choose from two combat options: manual play and auto play. In auto play, the game selects the weapon to use; in manual play, it is the player who chooses. Players can choose from a gun, a hand-to-hand weapon, a defensive maneuver, or an explosive.
