Solo Typing Tutor is an application that teaches users how to improve their typing skills. The program is designed for beginners who want to learn the correct hand position when typing and for users who want to improve their typing speed and accuracy. The program offers four types of courses that cover different typing topics.
The Typing Tutor course takes users to the basics of typing. In this course, users are taught how to touch-type using the US keyboard layout. There are a hundred courses available starting from the most basic lessons to more the advanced. The next course is Numeric Keypad. This course teaches users how to touch-type using the numeric keypad. There are 20 lessons available for this course teaches users how to type numbers without looking. In addition to the basic and numeric keypad typing courses, Solo Typing Tutor also offers courses for German and Russian keyboards.
Solo Typing Tutor provides typing statistics after the lessons. Users can also read about tips and explanations on how to improve typing skills. Other features of the application include a 3D virtual keyboard for viewing the correct finger positions, and a typing practice area for the user’s problem areas. Users will be guided by an animated character through the training.
