Ubisoft (Bundled)

Silent Hunter III Mission Editor is companion software shipped with the Silent Hunter III game. Silent Hunter III is a submarine simulation game released on March 2005 by Ubisoft. Silent Hunter III enables players to control German U-Boats in battles set during the Second World War. Silent Hunter III Mission Editor enables users to customize game missions for the Silent Hunter III game. The Silent Hunter III Mission Editor is released by Ubisoft on September 2006.

Silent Hunter III Mission Editor enables users to create and edit game missions. The player may create two types of game missions—Single player mission and multi-player mission. To create single player missions, the idea is to place ships and a U-boat on a designated area and let the players have their fun at sinking the ships. The Silent Hunter III Mission Editor user interface features a menu bar, controls bar, and Tools panel on the left. The remaining area corresponds to the blank work area. Users may create a new single player mission by clicking New and setting a start date and time to launch the world map. The Tools panel includes buttons for Sea, Sub, Air, Land, and Ordinance which lets users add units to the world map. Sea corresponds to surface ships and vessels, Sub to German U-boats, Air for airplanes, Land for ground installations, and Ordinance for special objects.  Users must configure waypoints for each ship or else the mission won’t be saved. Users must also remember to tick the Human Control box when adding U-boats to signify that such will be the ones controlled by the player. Creating multi-player missions requires creating multiple single player ones.
