Sibelius is a musical scorewriter application that was first released in 1993. The program is used by music instructors, musicians, arrangers, and composers. The application has an organized interface for a better workflow. All the tools are displayed on a ribbon and users can access more features by clicking on the tools. The program also comes with over 38 Gb of music content that can be used for projects and compositions. These consist of different instruments, such as brass, strings, complete orchestras, solos, bells, church organs and many others.

Other features of the Sibelius application are the following:

• Tabbed Interface – The application has a tabbed interface to allow users to access different parts of the application from just one window. Users can switch between tasks just by clicking on a different tab.
• Dockable Panels – The program supports docking of panels, giving users complete control over the arrangement of windows on the desktop. Users can re-arrange the different panels on the window and hide them with one click.
• Keyboard – Sibelius tools can be accessed using the keyboard with key tips. The program also supports various screen reading programs that make it easier for visually-impaired artists to use the application.
