Rocks ‘n’ Diamonds

Artsoft Entertainment (Open Source)

Rocks ‘n’ Diamonds (RnD) is a puzzle game that was first released in 2005. The game borrows gameplay elements from different tile-based games such as Sokoban, Boulder Dash, Supaplex, and Emerald Mine. These gameplay elements come in the form of sub-games. However, several levels also offer combinations of multiple game elements.

• Sokoban – In this game, players must place big light bulbs in front of electric sockets in order for them to turn on. The player moves on to the next level once all the light bulbs have been lighted.
• Boulder Dash – For Boulder Dash, the player must gather a minimum number of diamonds in order to open the door leading to the next level. There are obstacles along the way, such as dirt, monsters, and rocks.
• Emerald Mine – This game is similar to Boulder Dash, but it differs with the obstacles that must be beaten. Rocks ‘n’ Diamonds offers users more than 50,000 levels for Emerald Mine, too.
• Supaplex – This game is another version of the Sokoban game. However, this game offers different challenges, such as doors that are locked, acidic substances, and explosives.

The game allows users to play with each other through the network multiplayer mode that allows up to 4 players. It can also be played using a joystick or the computer keyboard. The game also features a level editor, which is used for creating custom-made levels.
