Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War is a real-time strategy video game that was first released in 2006. The game is a combination of first-person shooter and third-person shooter scenarios. It consists of four controllable civilizations namely Greece, Rome, Persia, and Egypt. Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War features two campaign modes. The first focuses on Alexander the Great, while the second is a fictional storytelling of Cleopatra’s liberation of Egypt. The player’s main objective is to control the army and beat the enemies with careful strategizing. The game has a Hero Mode, wherein players can control one of the eight available heroes. The player’s stamina must be high in order to enter the hero mode. The stamina also quickly diminishes in this mode.
Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War can be played in single player or multiplayer mode. In single player mode, the player can go against one up to seven computer players. In multiplayer mode, players can join battles through LAN. The battle begins when all the players have agreed to the terms set by the host. The game comes with a scenario editor, enabling players to create new scenarios from scratch or to edit existing scenarios that have been created by other players.
