PowerArchiver 2011, formerly EasyZip, is a file archiver that supports a variety of archive formats. The program was first released in 1999. The program is the first compression tool that is capable of compressing locked files. Users can also edit files inside the archive. The program takes note of all the files that have been changed. One of the features of the application is faster decompression of RAR files. It extracts files in RAR archives 10% faster than other programs. In addition to supporting popular archive formats, the program also supports new formats, such as CPIO, LZMA, WIM, MSI, and NSIS.

PowerArchiver 2011 also has a built-in burning tool that is capable of several tasks. Users can burn files to a disc, burn an ISO image, create an ISO image, mount a virtual drive, and even erase a disc. The data burner can be launched even without opening PowerArchiver. The program supports UDF (Universal Disc Format) and can burn files that are bigger than 4 Gb.
