Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend is a video game expansion pack (for Postal 2) that was released in 2005. It is a first-person shooter game. Apocalypse Weekend expands the original game by continuing the main story. The game’s main character, the Postal dude, wakes up in a hospital after shooting himself at the end of Postal 2.
New Maps have been added in Apocalypse Weekend. New missions are also included which are set on Saturdays and Sundays. There are also new weapons and foes. This raises the game's gore and violence to a greater level.
The game's levels now feature a linear design. This is a major difference to the original game, which is open-ended. Players are now tasked to follow strict paths to complete the games. Its 10 missions are in a placed order. This allows players to see the rooms and locations in a logical manner. While Postal 2 has the option to keep the violence at a minimum, Apocalypse Weekend's missions will force the player to go down the violent road to progress in the game. The game also features new weapons, such as the sledgehammer and scythe.
Other features in the game include:
• Load times are now faster
• Levels range from city streets to Middle Eastern deserts
• Explosion visuals have been improved graphically
