Pirates of Black Cove

Pirates of Black Cove is a strategy role-playing game that was first released in 2011. The game is set in the 16th century. Players start out as a pirate who must climb up the ranks to be the pirate captain. Players have the change to join one of the three pirate factions that are available in the game – Corsairs, Pirates, and Buccaneers. Players are free to roam the pirate seas and complete missions. Increasing the character’s notoriety and fame enables levels up the character. Players can choose from a wide variety of pirates to control. Each of the pirates has their own unique skills and abilities.

As the player progresses in the game, different pirate strongholds become available to join. The pirate also gets promoted as the character improves skills. Players must be wary as other pirates are up for promotion, too. In order to be more famous, pirates can invite other captains to be a part of their own fleet. However, the pirates must be supplied with enough rum in order for them to be loyal to the player’s character.
