PhotoDream is an application that lets users add multiple special effects to photographs and other image files. It has a simple and intuitive interface that is easy to use; users can easily see the filters, command icons, and preview area. The program also comes with a Help file for users who want to know how to navigate around the application in detail. Photos are selected using the program’s file browser and displayed on the main screen.

Once a photo is chosen, users can then choose to apply a filter into the image. There are 15 filters to choose from and all can be found on the left side of the interface. The filters include Weather, Texture, Gradient, Art, Dream, and many others. Each filter comes with ten variations that are applied to the image’s thumbnails. Users can click the thumbnails to see an effect in full before applying it onto the image. In addition, users can apply several effects to one image. An undo button brings the photo back one step. A key feature of the application is its color adjustment for the filter effect. A color wheel is provided and users can select the colors they want to use for the filter they have chosen.

The modified photos are saved as new images in either BMP or JPG format.
