PCMark05

PCMark05 is a benchmarking suite that consists of different tests for measuring the system’s performance. The five tests that come with the program are HDD Test Suite, System Test Suite, Graphics Test Suite, Memory Test Suite, and CPU Test Suite. The program has a simple interface that is divided into three sections – Tests, System, and Results. Users can view computer information on the main window, such as the operating system, the CPU, memory, and the graphics. The results show a summary of the scores for each test suite. To start the tests, click on the ‘Run PCMark’ button located at the bottom of the window. The benchmarking test may take a while to finish, depending on the system.

After the tests, users can view a summary of the results on the main window. More details regarding the tests can be viewed under the System Information report. Tests that yield a high score mean that the system is performing well. PCMark05 is a tool that can be used by both beginners and advanced computer users.
