Mp3tag 2.78

Florian Heidenreich (Freeware)

Mp3tag is a metadata editor that is used for editing and adding tags to audio tracks. It supports several popular audio formats. Users are able to write and edit tags for multiple tracks with the Batch Tag Editing feature. Renaming files according to tag information is also possible. Mp3tag supports cover art to improve the metadata of the music collection. With the import feature, users can skip typing the tags on each track and just import tags from online databases, such as Amazon, MusicBrainz, feedb, and many more.

The program’s main window consists of columns for all the metadata to be filled. Information on the window includes the filename, title, artist, album, path, track, year, genre, and more. Users can access all their favorite tracks by accessing the ‘Favorite’ directory. This only works when all the audio files are placed inside the same root folder.

Other features of the application include the following:
• Creation of playlists while editing
• Full Unicode support
• Recursive subfolder support
• Replacing of characters or words from tags
• Support for ID3v2.3

Users can keep a list of the entire music collection by exporting the metadata and saving them as HTML, CSV, or RTF files. Mp3tag supports audio formats, such as AAC, FLAC, MP3, MPEG-4, and APE.
