MP3 Karaoke is a program that allows users to use the computer as a karaoke machine. It supports audio files that are in the MP3 file format. It has a simple user interface that both novice and advanced users can navigate. Adding MP3 files to the program can be done through the browser, the explorer, or by dragging and dropping them to the main interface. The left side of the main window displays a tree view of files and folders in the application. All audio files added to the program are displayed as a list including their filenames, complete path, type of audio file, tag, artist, and others. Users can also rename files straight from the program’s main window.

The program also consists of features for removing dead files and duplicates. Users can then convert the audio files to prepare them for playback. The conversion window displays the number of the track, time, and a description of the file. Under the Options window, there are encoder settings that can be tweaked. Some of the settings that can be tweaked include the audio mode, number of bits per second, and the sampling frequency. All of these can be changed from their respective drop down menus.
