Microsoft Office Outlook is an email client developed by Microsoft. It is a member of the Microsoft Office software suite. The program is mainly an email tool. However, the program comes with other features including a contact manager, task manager, calendar, journal, and a note taker. The program is a standalone application. However, users can use it in conjunction with Microsoft SharePoint Server or Microsoft Exchange Server, using the email client for multiple users in a business or in an organization. This allows users to have shared mailboxes, shared calendars, public folders, and SharePoint lists. Users may even share meeting schedules with each other.
Microsoft Office Outlook features the ribbon interface that contains the main tasks or functions of the program. To also features a To-Do bar that displays the tasks saved for a scheduled date or time. The interface also features a calendar view with tasks displayed on a weekly basis. Users can send these calendar entries through calendar snapshots. Users can also utilize Color Categories to organize tasks, calendar entries, and other entries. The program also features Save to XPS or Save to PDF support.
Microsoft Office Outlook is largely available for PC and other desktop computers. However, the developers released a mobile version or the Outlook Mobile Service, used mainly in phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
