Metin2 is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that was initially released in 2004 in Korea. It has also been released in European and Asian countries. At the beginning of the game, players must choose to play as a member of one of the four available classes – Ninja, Sura, Shaman, or Warrior. There are sub classes in each class and players must choose a specialty. Each class and subclass has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Players gain experience points by defeating enemies or completing missions. In the game, characters use the hack and slash system for combat. Players must press on the space bar in order to strike enemies in the game. PvP (Player Versus Player) mode is unlocked once the character reaches Level 15. Challenging another player can be done by challenging a player to a duel, or requesting a fight. Players can also activate free play on the game menu. When this is activated, players can attack each other in any place and even without consent.
There are over 90 quests in Metin2. After successfully finishing a quest, players are given rewards, such as potions, accessories, in-game money, or experience points. These rewards may be given automatically or players can get them from the General Store in the game.
