Mechanical Clock 3D Screensaver is one of the screensavers developed and published by 3Planesoft. This 3D screensaver provides an image of an 18th century Swiss clock that displays the clock’s movement. It also shows the movement of the clock’s internal gears in an accurate rendition of a real-life mechanical clock. All the mechanisms of the clock are perfectly synchronized. Once installed, this 3D screensaver can access the system time allowing it to display the current computer time on the screensaver itself.

This screensaver offers several configuration options as well. It enables users to change the screen resolution as well as the texture quality of the image. Adjusting gamma levels is also possible. Users can choose to play music while the screensaver is active. There is an option to add, sort, and delete the music in the playlist. The program supports various audio formats including FLAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, and more. It also features a screencap ability even when the screensaver is active. Screencap, or screen capturing, is the ability to capture a certain area of the desktop. The program provides a button for performing this function.

The available settings can be accessed through 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This Screensaver Manager can be installed together with the program. If installed, it offers users the ability to manage all the other screensavers purchased from 3Planesoft.
