Magic Inlay

GameHouse, Inc. (Shareware)

Magic Inlay is an adventure-puzzle game program developed by GameHouse, Inc. It was first released on October 29, 2003. The objective of the game is to complete each level by inlaying different gem shapes onto the mosaic until all available spaces have been filled. The game works with the Conveyor constantly releasing gem shapes. The player must use these shapes to complete the level and advance in the game. Players will also encounter boss battles to complete a level. Each boss has its own special ability such as gems attack, figures attack, patch of fog, or drop place breaker.

The game’s playing field is composed of different elements. Aside from the mosaic and the conveyor, there is also a drop section. This area can be used to discard certain gems that are not usable. This is useful when the player accidentally picks up a gem that he cannot use. The game also features two Magic Tools – Hammer and Magic Wand. These tools can help the player to complete the level. The Hammer tool is used for destroying some of the gems to avoid overfilling the conveyor while the Magic Wand is used to create a gem needed to fill the missing shape in the mosaic. At the beginning of the game, the player has a certain number of Hammer and Magic Wand. However, a player can add more Magic Tools by using gem bonuses.
