Magentic

Magentic is an application that provides thousands of wallpapers and screensavers for the desktop. The program’s main window is divided into two sections – wallpapers and screensavers. There are already several images included with the application, but users can download additional images from the Magentic website. The images are separated into different categories like animals, flowers and gardens, holidays, people, travel, ocean life, and nature scenes. There is also a section for the newest images, editor’s picks, and the top downloads. Browsing and downloading images must be done on a web browser window.

Personal images can also be used as wallpaper or screensaver. This can be done by importing photos from the hard drive to the program. Another feature of the application is animated screensavers. These may also come with sounds that can be enabled or disbled. Magentic can be configured to automatically change the desktop after a specified time. This can be set under the Wallpapers tab on the Options window.
