Mafia II

2K Czech (Shareware)

Mafia II is a third-person action video game that was released in 2010. It is the sequel to Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. The game is set in Empire Bay during the 1940s to the 1950s. The story revolves around Vito Scaletta, Sicilian immigrant who joins a crime family to become ‘successful’ in order to pay his father’s debts to the Mafia. In the game, players assume the role of Vito. Missions must be completed in order to progress through the storyline. Mafia II has a realistic feel and players can use action buttons and violent action buttons. One of the features included in the game that wasn’t present in the previous Mafia game is the cover mechanic. This allows the character to hide behind in-game objects while a shootout is happening. Mafia II features detailed vehicles and more weapons. The gameplay is enhanced with three in-game radio stations that broadcast music from well-known artists in the 1940s and 1950s.

In 2010, downloadable game packs were made available for the game. These packs contain additional in-game items, such as outfits and vehicles. The four game packs are: Vegas Pack, Renegade Pack, Greaser Pack, and War Hero Pack. A collector’s edition of the game was released in 2010, too.
