Karaoke 5 is a karaoke creator program developed by Salvo Gile and released on February 2013. This program enables users to synchronize text in music and video files. This program supports several media file formats including K5, WMA, MID, MP3, and CDG for audio, and AVI, MPG, WMV, FLV, and M4V for video. It also features rapid text synchronization with base video.
Karaoke 5 is not just a karaoke creator but also a karaoke player. The program plays several video file formats including MP3+CDG, CD+G, KAR, KFN, and VS or Virtual Score. It offers a files management tool through the Double Screen TV, and a Mix Control function specializing in song and audio mixing. It also has several functional tools including the Arranger Express, K5 Virtual Instruments, and BroadCast.
Karaoke 5’s graphical user interface sports a grey and yellow color theme. The menu bar provides options for File, Record, Print, Sort, Utility, Instruments, and Information. The toolbar offers buttons for the most commonly used commands. The GUI has six tabs—Playlists, Primary Field, Secondary fields, Song text, Singers Schedule, and Broadcast/Shoutcast/Chat. The Playlists tab is selected as a default showing two windows that enable users to create their custom playlists. The Mixer window and the Preview window are located at the bottom of the window. The Preview window displays how the finished video will look like with the embedded text.
