FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage is a racing and an arcade demolition video game developed by Bugbear Entertainment. It is the third installment of the Flatout game series and was first released on August 1, 2008 in Europe and August 26, 2008 in North America. This game allows players to experience real-time racing on destructible environments (more than 8000 destructible items for each track). It offers enhanced gameplay over the Flatout 2 installment. This game features 12 new racing cars. Each car available in the game made up of 40 individual destructible parts.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage features new tracks (total of 39 tracks) in various environments that are based from storm water drains to streets. The game also offers dynamic shadow maps, wherein the tracks include 3D destructible objects. Like its predecessor, the game still has single player and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer mode has two game modes (e.g. deathmatch destruction derbies and Head-On race) while the single player has five new modes (e.g. career racing, time trials, arcade racing and more). When playing single player mode, players can play against up to 11 AI-controlled vehicles for every race. The multiplayer mode has a new format now. However, the LAN functionality is no longer included in this installment. The game offers both offline and online game modes.
