IMatch is an XML-based application for image management. Collections of digital images may be viewed, organized, and edited. It can be used with one’s digital camera as well as other image applications, which can be integrated through the program’s customizable menus.
The application can be used by both amateur and professional photographers. The program has extensive exporting and importing features. Large assortments of images numbering from hundreds to thousands can be managed using the program. An unlimited image number if allowed for large and small databases. Over fifty file formats for images can be used with the application. IPTC, XMP, and EXIF information, and RAW formats such as CRW, RAF, ORF, and NEF from digital cameras are supported. Frequent tasks may be automated using a scripting language. Email integration, printing support, and removable media (such as DVDs and CD-ROMs) support are provided. Other program features include Web support, categorization function, lossless rotation, image editor, batch processor, and smart rename, among others. A minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600, 60 MB of hard disk available space, and 500 MB or RAM are needed for the program to operate. The application is also beneficial for photo journalists, stock photo offices, corporations, and libraries, for tasks and workflows involving image management.
