IETester 0.4.12

Core Services (Freeware)

IETester is a web browser program developed by Core Services in June 2011. IETester main users are web developers who utilize the software to check for compatibility issues between web browsers and websites. IETester features rendering and JavaScript engines of Internet Explorer web browser versions from IE5.5 to IE10 on the latest Windows operating systems like Windows 8 Desktop, Windows 7, Vista, and XP.

IETester graphical user interface utilizes a ribbon toolbar enabling the user to toggle between the different Internet Explorer versions to test which ones the website may not be compatible with. Left panel features five buttons for Previous, Next, Refresh, Stop, and Home. Debugbar has also been added to the first ribbon group. The second ribbon group buttons show the different IE versions ranging from IE5.5, IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10, and Default IE for the Internet Explorer version, which is currently installed in the system. Users can also click the All IE versions button for simultaneous checking. IETester is set to IE10 as a default only when IE 10 is the one currently installed. The Favorites button allows users to save up to a dozen commonly used websites for easy accessibility for checking.

IETester also offers a set of web developer tools. Some of these tools allow users to view source codes and disable cache or other media content. IETester runs in multi-process mode.
