Happyville - Quest for Utopia 1.0

WildTangent, Inc. (Shareware)

Happyville: Quest for Utopia is a time management city building game developed by Gogii Games and published by WildTangent Games. In this game, the player assumes the role of the mayor of a city whose main responsibilities include designing the city, expanding it, and keeping the citizens happy and content. During the course of the game, the player will encounter various challenges, take on missions, and manage sudden changes. The game starts with a small empty plot of land that the player can immediately decorate, develop, and re-position. The player can purchase available houses and business establishments from the menu and start building them on the city land. Roads can also be built to connect streets and blocks, so that residents can visit the businesses. As a result, citizens are able to acquire their basic needs and the businesses can gain profit.

Apart from homes and businesses, players can also develop their land by cultivating it into farm plots. However, they must not be placed near residential and commercial areas, as people dislike the smell. Civic building such as the city hall, schools, hospitals, police stations, and museums are also required to be built so that the player can increase the city’s population. Real estate value goes up when decorations like park benches, sidewalk flowers, and water fountains are added all over the city.
