Half-Life 2: Episode Two is a shooter game released on October 2007. This is the second chapter in an installment of episodes set as the sequel to the Half-Life 2 game series. It follows the adventures of Gordon Freeman and his companion Alyx Vance, right after the events of the first chapter where they just escaped from City 17. The duo find themselves in the countryside with the Combine’s transhumant troops behind them.
The Half-Life 2: Episode Two gameplay is essentially the same as Episode One. Levels follow a linear timeline composed of combat battles and physics-based puzzle levels. As an addition, there are levels involving the use of vehicles in open areas. Half-Life 2: Episode Two has more puzzle levels than its predecessor. It also features the biggest physics-based puzzle yet—a damaged unstable bridge. This game also features Achievements that may be required of users in order to progress to succeeding levels.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two also features a new type of enemy—the Hunters. Hunters are 8-foot monsters that can stalk the player anywhere they go. The technique is to run away from them at first and look for any weapon that may be used to fight them. Half-Life 2: Episode Two game environment was designed with this enemy in mind.
