GTA: San Andreas is an action adventure game developed by Rockstar Games and released on October 2004. The game is the seventh installment in the GTA game franchise. GTA stands for Grand Theft Auto. GTA: San Andreas is an adventure game set in the fictional San Andreas, similar in appearance to Nevada and California.  The game features open world game play, enabling the player to roam around the three main cities of San Andreas, namely Las Venturas, San Fierro, and Los Santos.

GTA: San Andreas features the life of Carl “CJ” Johnson shown from a third party perspective. The game kicks off from CJ finding out about his mother’s murder. He went home to Los Santos to reunite his old gang and find out the truth about the murder. The game plot features some of real life events including the crack epidemic, the 1992 Los Angeles riots, the Rampart Scandal, and the Bloods and Crips street gangs.

GTA: San Andreas features an open world environment with the player having relative independence as to his actions. CJ can walk, run, sprint, climb, and even swim. The main player can also drive all vehicles that can be found in the game. Vehicles include trucks, cars, bikes, motorcycles, buses, semiboats, and even helicopters and fixed wing aircrafts. The game comes with storyline missions that advance the plot, along with other side missions including burglary missions, truck and train driving missions, and even pimping missions. When not completing a mission, the player can just roam freely.
