GSpot Codec Information Appliance 2.70a

GSpot Appliance Corp, a unit of GSp0t Heavy Industries (Freeware)

GSpot Codec Information Appliance is a video file information program developed by GSpot Appliance Corporation. It is used to determine the required codecs (both audio and video) needed for playback. The program is developed for AVI videos. However, its use was expanded to support Ogg and other container formats such as WMV, QuickTime movie and MPEG. However, Ogg is the only format that has full support aside from AVI.

This program is used to verify if the needed Window videos codecs and DirectShow filters are properly installed and configured in the computer. It can isolate issues related with the supported codecs. The program can also display detailed information about a certain codec such as aspect ratio, duration, AVI structure info, framerate and more. ASCII and RIFF information are also displayed. The RIFF information can also be edited using this application. Problems associated with download such as cooked files or truncated files can be identified by the GSpot program.

The GSpot Codec Information Appliance application offers a user-friendly interface. It only requires the needed document to be opened in order to see the results. This program also features an Advanced User Interface where Hyperlinked Persistent Tool tips and Dual Mode features are provided. Send-to and Drag-and-Drop support are also available, as well as batch processing.
