Golden Records Vinyl to CD Converter 1.97

NCH Software (Shareware)

Golden Records Vinyl to CD Converter is an application that converts analog audio into CDs or MP3 and WAV files. Analog audio include vinyl LP records, cassettes, and tapes.

A step-by-step wizard is provided to help users familiarize themselves with the program and the conversion procedure. Since the program identifies silence, audio is automatically split into tracks. Damaged audio may be cleaned up through tools for audio restoration. Recordings are automatically applied with Dc offset correction. Sound volumes are simultaneously normalized. When recording audio from vinyl records, surface noise like pops, ticks, and clicks are removed by the program. Automatic noise and hiss reduction is also applied. For record players not having preamplifiers, “phono”  RIAA eq correction is also applied. Aside from WAV and MP3 conversion, MP3 ID tags may also be added into converted files. Aside from sound cards, record players that play 45 or 33 RPM records are needed to use the program. Cassette tape recording and conversion require a cassette deck equipped with an amplifier to use the program. Every album for conversion also needs 600MB of available space from the computer’s hard disk. Converted audio may be transferred to devices such as PSPs, iPods, or iPhones. The program can also be used as a CD burner.
