Free Audio Dub

DVDVideoSoft Limited. (Freeware)

Free Audio Dub is an audio editing application that supports audio formats, such as MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, and OGG. The program allows users to cut out portions of an audio file and save them as a separate file. The edited file is not re-encoded so there is no quality loss. This also reduces the processing time. Free Audio Dub has a simple interface that contains fields for the input file, output file, and the audio tracking with play, pause, rewind, fast forward, and cut buttons. The program can be used even by novice computer users or editors.

Users must choose the audio file using the browse button beside input file. Next, the save location for the edited file must be chosen. This can be set on the output file field. The cursor on the timeline can be moved in order to set the start and end of the portion that must be cut out. The blue portion on the timeline indicates the part of the audio file that will be removed. Clicking the delete button will remove the blue portion. Mistakes made when editing can be undone with the undo button that can be found at the bottom right part of the window. The program comes in a small package and does not clog up the system resources.
