Folder Colorizer is a simple program that allows users to change and assign the colors of Windows folders. The program is integrated to Windows and the color of a folder can be changed by right clicking and hovering over ‘Colorize!’ on the menu. This will bring up a list of all the preset colors that are included in the program. There are eight preset colors – yellow, lawn green, red, blue, silver, violet, sandy brown, and aquamarine. Users also have the option to choose and name their own color. To do this, open the application and pick a color from the color wheel. Type in a name for the color on the field and click on the ‘+Add color’ button at the bottom of the window.
Restoring the color of the folder can be done with just a few clicks, too. To do this, right click on the folder and click on ‘Restore original color’. The folder will immediately return to the Windows default folder color. With the Folder Colorizer, users can manage all their files and segregate them according to importance. Also, items in the computer can be categorized and saved according to file type (music, office documents, videos, images, etc).
