FlightSim Commander is an all-in-one companion program for the Lockheed Martin Prepar 3D, Flight Simulator X, and Flight Simulator 2004 games. It functions as a GPS, flight planner, navigation tool, and moving map for these games. The program can be used with a single or multiple monitor systems. It can also work on a network.
The program’s interface offers six windows that display the program’s main functions and features. In the Map Window, users can access several functions/features that provide navigational purposes. This window shows navigational aids, airspaces, airways, airports, MSA, and others. There is also the AI Traffic Window that shows ground speed, departure/destination airport, heading, altitude, and tail number/call sign. The program’s GPS features can be accessed through the GPS Window where it displays information such as waypoint info, ILS selection, list of the nearest airports, arrival airport info, and weather report.
The program features Online Pilot support as well. This feature can be viewed on the Online Pilot Window, which shows IVAO airspace structure and VATSIM airspace structure. It also displays active controllers. Aside from this, FlightSim Commander also offers the Flight Planning and Charts Windows. The Flight Planning Windows provides automatic/manual plans, route segments, combined plans with various route types, SIDs/STARS, and more. The Charts window shows graphic and textural arrival and departure charts, runway charts, automatic logbook, and airport information.
