Final Fantasy VIII is a role-playing action video game developed by Square Enix and released in 2000. Final Fantasy VIII game story involves a group of mercenaries who aims to protect the world from a manipulating sorceress. The main protagonist is Squall Leonheart who is a 17-year old student in the Balamb Garden Military Academy.

The game’s field map features 2D game environment where players control a 3D character.
