ExpressRip 1.89

NCH Software (Freeware)

Express Rip is a CD ripping application that enables users to create copies of their audio discs in their computer. This application provides a simple user interface that facilitates audio CD ripping with minimal configurations from the part of the user. Express Rip also supports various audio formats such as AAC, MP3, AMR, OGG, M4A, WMA, FLAC, WAV, and VOX. This application automatically detects the contents of the user’s optical disc and displays each track title, track length in minutes, track size, album, artist, and audio format. Each of the supported formats can be configured using Express Rip’s dedicated screen, allowing users to set the maximum and minimum bitrate per track or per album. In addition, Express Rip also provides features used in configuring the quality, as well as the channel-encoding mode of the output rip files. This application can also connect to an online song database in case the audio CD does not provide the track information.

Express Rip provides a simple and straightforward user interface that has four main control parts. The first part is the main control bar on the upper portion of the program window. This section contains buttons such as eject, load, refresh, play, and stop. The main control bar also contains buttons that allow users to access the program options, online shop, toolbox, and help. The next control area contains the drive directory, and text bars that enables users to manually type-in the track information such as artist, album, genre, and release year. The third control area is the track list, which displays the content of the inserted audio disc. In this section, users may select individual tracks that they want copied and edit the track name and other details. The last control area contains controls that allow users to select an output folder for the ripped files and start the ripping process.
