Earth 3D Screensaver is a screensaver application developed and distributed by 3Planesoft. It turns the monitor into a real-life space shuttle window. The display shows exactly what astronauts see in outer space. As a 3D screensaver, the program shows a moving view of the earth and other outer space with stars and meteors moving around it. The program can be used either as a 3D screensaver or as a 3D desktop background.

The program also comes with the 3Planesoft screensaver manager. This manager offers configuration options for the Earth 3D Screensaver program. It also acts as the primary manager for all screensavers distributed by 3Planesoft. This allows users to download, launch, and configure other 3Planesoft screensavers straight from a single interface. Users can choose the duration or cycle of the following screensaver. Users may set the screensaver to run after a specific number of minutes, 1 day, or 7 days. If multiple 3Planesoft screensavers are available, users may also choose to set multiple screensavers and run it randomly.

Earth 3D Screensaver offers several configuration options to modify how the screensaver works. Users can change the video selection mode, monitor selection, texture quality, and gamma control. There are also options for configuring the screensaver’s camera changes, cities captions, islands captions, geo captions, and music.
