Duplicate Picture Finder is a simple application used for searching and identifying duplicate image entries in a computer. It supports more than 25 types of picture file formats such as TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) images (*.tif, *.tiff), Truevision Targa Files (*.tga, *.targa), Wireless Bitmap (*.wbmp) and more.
Duplicate Picture Finder can search for the exact copy of an image and search for images that have the same content. It supports all Unicode characters. It can process images in a multi-threaded fashion and delete images that are not needed. The application also provides the users several search options such as compare options and file type options. Compare options include alpha tolerance, RGB tolerance, Resample Dimension, and more. File type options include a list of file types that will be included in a search.
It has a simple and intuitive user interface. Clicking the “Start” button will start the search for duplicate images - a user must specify the location to search for. Search status information will be provided to track the estimated time remaining, work left , found images, and found similar images. All matching images will be displayed in a different panel. An identified duplicate will also have info such as image preview, EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) information, and image information displayed along with it. The image information contains the image file name, parent folder, file image size, and image dimension.
