Dungeon Keeper 2 is an action strategy game that was first released in 1999. It is the second title in the Dungeon Keeper series of games. In the game, players control the character of a dungeon keeper who must build and protect a dungeon from the enemies who try to invade the place. One of the changes made to the second installment is the graphics, which is now in 3D. The players control a green hand that can move around the game area. Players can pick up items around the game world and drop them to a different location. There are also some items in the game world that that the player can interact with.

Dungeon Keeper 2 offers 20 levels of gameplay in the main campaign. Players can choose to play through the eyes of one of the creatures during the game. When this happens, the game shifts to first person point of view. At the start of the game, the player is guided by a mentor. The initial levels also serve as the tutorial for the game.
