Driver – San Francisco is an open-world driving game developed and published by Ubisoft. It is part of the Driver game series and was first released in 2011 for Windows. It is the fifth installment in the Drive series. The game occurs in a single location only – San Francisco. The storyline follows the protagonist in the series, Tanner, and his pursuit to capture Jericho.

The game offers both single player and multiplayer gameplays. The single player gameplay follows the campaign and main storyline of Tanner. The multiplayer gameplay offers 19 game modes such as cops and robbers, trailblazer, sprint GT, tag, and more. New to the series is the addition of online multiplayer mode and split screen. This mode also offers experience points feature. The game provides about 140 licensed buggies, sports cars, muscle cars, and more. Car brands range from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bentley to Ford, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, and more.

Driver – San Francisco offers a new feature in gameplay called Shift. This feature works like a teleport function, which enables users to shift from one vehicle to another. It replaces the player’s capability to get out cars and transfer to another. This feature also enables players to start missions. All vehicles also include a Boost.
