Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) is a download manager application developed by Speedbit Ltd. The program utilizes multipart download. This allows the download speed to increase by creating several connections of multiple file segments. The application works by dividing the files into smaller portions and obtain files from several websites at once. DAP has three editions – DAP for Mac, DAP Premium and DAP Free.

Download Accelerator Plus features Mirror Speed Boost. This technology allows the program to switch to faster sources of downloads while downloading. Users can also pause or continue broken downloads using DAP. The application features a built-in Twitter integration allowing users to tweet straight from DAP application. It also has optimized download performance feature for RapidShare Premium Accounts giving users a faster download from RapidShare. DAP is also integrated with SpeedBit’s Multi Antivirus Analysis application. This allows users to compare and analyze the download files.

DAP features different add-ons giving users a chance to customize the program. DAP features Download History add-on that allows users to view the list of download history. A Video to MP3 add-on is also available for converting video files as audio files while downloading. A DAP Link Checker is also available that allows users to get all the necessary information about the file being downloaded.
